Brownback to speak on Cowley's baccalaureate degree program

Arkansas City, KS – Governor Brownback will visit Cowley College for a press event and campus tour showcasing Cowley College’s pathway to baccalaureate degree completion for less than $15,000, a response to his challenge for higher education institutions to develop options for more affordable degree attainment. The event with the Governor will begin at 2:30 in the College’s Brown Center Theater on 201 S. 2nd Street, Arkansas City.

WHS grad is royalty candidate at Cowley College

This week Cowley College announced the finalists for their 2017 Homecoming and Peyton Adams, WHS 2015 grad, is one of the queen candidates.

Here is the bio of Adams from a Cowley press release:
"Peyton Adams, daughter of Eric and Coni Adams, is a pre-nursing major. At Cowley, she is a member of the women’s tennis team, a student ambassador, a resident assistant in the dorms and past Queen Alalah candidate. After Cowley she plans to attend nursing school at either Kansas University or Pittsburg State University."

Cowley College President speaks at Chamber banquet

Dr. Dennis Rittle, President of Cowley College took some time on Friday, Jan. 20 to address those in attendance of the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB Annual Celebration. Rittle spoke about his recent trip to Topeka and about the Sumner County campus project soon becoming a reality. Watch the entire speech in the video above.

Sumner County voters make history with “Yes” vote on a Cowley College Campus

SUMNER COUNTY, Kan. - On November 8, Sumner County voters made history by approving the passage of a half-cent county sales tax to build a Cowley College campus in Sumner County and to provide educational services for citizens of Sumner County. The campus will be constructed in Wellington with a goal to begin offering classes in Fall of 2018.

WELLINGTON, Kan. – Community members are invited to learn more about the proposed Cowley College campus development in Sumner County at a campaign kickoff breakfast on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at 8 a.m. at the Raymond Frye Complex in Wellington, Kansas. Dr. Dennis C. Rittle, president of Cowley College, will unveil a campus rendering, detail some of the programming the campus would offer, and answer questions about the planned $12 million dollar campus construction.
